2-D methane–air combustion visualizer

Interactive reconstruction of velocity, temperature, reactant, product, and NO fields from an ANSYS Fluent combustion case.

Model boundary: the dashboard reconstructs smooth fields calibrated to the supplied Fluent contour limits. It supports post-processing demonstrations and qualitative parameter studies. Quantitative design conclusions require the exported CFD solution data and solver setup.

What this project covers

The same engineering field model is implemented in Python, MATLAB, and browser-native JavaScript. This gives one combustion case three practical post-processing routes for research, reporting, and technical communication.

Reacting-flow fields

Temperature, velocity, CH₄, O₂, CO₂, and thermal-NO distributions with the reference Fluent scales.

Parametric interpretation

Fuel and air velocity, equivalence ratio, and mixing intensity change the reconstructed jet, flame growth, heat release, and emissions.

Cross-platform post-processing

Matplotlib controls for Python, a MATLAB UI, and a dependency-free HTML dashboard suitable for GitHub Pages.
